At Lily Winter we’re travellers. As global citizens we recognize that our actions do not occur in a bubble. We believe that small acts can amount to real advancements and it’s our responsibility as a business to be a positive force for social change.
Passionate about giving back to the world we love to explore, we donate a portion of our proceeds to select charities that support women artisans in developing countries. Our aim is to help women across the globe, while simultaneously drawing attention to their specific challenges. With poverty disproportionately affecting women, empowering them to earn economic independence through the creation of traditional crafts will not only keep them out of forced labour, but further develop their skills, preserve their cultural identity and allow them to work at home while they care for their children.¹
We take considerable time to select the charities we choose to work with, ensuring the donated funds are spent responsibly and directly impact the well-being and livelihood of women artisans.
Proceeds from every purchase go towards our charitable fund, meaning you are positively impacting the lives of women and their families around the world. To keep up-to-date with our philanthropic efforts and to see how your money is being used, follow us on our blog and subscribe to our newsletter.
