LW Loves: Winter Hit List
Winter is officially upon us and living in Canada means the temps have dropped and we’re craving the sunshine. That being said, we plan to embrace the winter weather this season too — maybe on the slopes or in a cabin. For now, we’re thinking about what is topping our list of where to go, what to see and what to pack. Let us know where you’ll be heading this season!
STAY: Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve
Following the devastation of Hurricane Maria, Puerto Rico is back and ready to welcome visitors. On our list is the newly reopened and renovated, Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve which sits on 1,400 acres and has almost 2 miles of private beach. Back when Laurence S. Rockefeller opened it in 1958 it became a hot-spot for the who’s-who of Hollywood like Joan Crawford and Ava Gardner. From the contemporary art on site to the five-acre spa and infinity pool, it’s the perfect winter respite.
SEE: Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams at the Victoria & Albert Museum
On from February 2 until July 14, 2019, Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams at the V&A will be the largest and most comprehensive exhibit on the designer ever staged in the UK. The exhibit will span from 1947 to present day tracing the history and impact, including the six artistic directors who succeeded him. We’re calling this a must see when in London.
WEAR: By Malene Birger Aleyah Turtleneck Sweater, $325, net-a-porter.com
When we’re embracing the cold, cozying up in an oversized knit is a must. We love this wool-blend version from By Malene Birger with the high neckline and bell sleeves, giving it a little something extra when paired with skinny jeans or a maxi skirt.
CARRY-ON: Beautycounter Dew Skin, $56, beautycounter.com
No matter the destination, we want to have great skin. Beautycounter’s Dew Skin is one of their signature products that gives you a no-makeup makeup look with its lightweight hydration, sheer coverage and SPF 20. We also appreciate the carry-on friendly packaging.
